One of the newest rides coming to the Magic Kingdom Fantasyland expansion at Walt Disney World is Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid is one of my favorite Disney movies and Ariel is one of my favorite Disney princesses, so I am very excited for this ride to open. Disney has just recently released a behind-the-scenes video of work being done for the new ride. This video gives us a sneak peek inside the Scenic Shop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see the giant mural being painted for the new ride’s load/unload area. the load/unload area is the section of the ride where you get on and off the ride vehicles.

I think the artwork looks amazing and I can’t wait to see it in person. The Scenic shop we see in this video, and where they are painting the mural, is in the back of Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. If you have ever been on The Backlot Tour at Hollywood Studios, you actually pass this building and can see in through giant windows that you pass by. Next time you visit Walt Disney World, hop on the ride and see if you can see the mural or other Disney World art displays for yourself. You never know what Disney magic you might see being made while on the ride, maybe you’ll see designs for new Disney rides!

In response to the announcement in our newsletter about the Free Disney dining offer, many of you asked, “this Free Disney Dining plan sounds great, but how much does this deal really save me?” So, we’re here to answer your questions and help you figure out just how much money this deal will save you on your Disney vacation. With this deal, when you book a reservation with a check-in on one of the valid dates at a Disney resort hotel, you can get 2 meals and 1 or 2 snacks for each night of your stay. This deal is valid for most stays up to 14 nights, imagine not paying for your meals that entire time!

There are two types of Disney dining plans offered for free with this offer, depending on what category of Disney hotel you book your package at. If you stay at one of the Disney Value resorts you can get a free Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan for your entire family during your stay. Staying at a Disney Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa hotel? Then you qualify for a free Disney Dining Plan for your stay.

I’m sure you’re wondering, what’s the difference between the two plans? Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan gives you 2 quick-service meals per each night of your stay. Quick-service meals are fast, grab-and-go meals that you order at a food counter and then can sit to eat. It’s self-service dining, much like you would find at a fast-food restaurant with burgers, hot dogs, pizza and fries. Only at Disney, these meals average around $10-$15 per person, that’s about $40-$60 for one meal for a family of four.

The Disney Dining Plan gives you 1 quick-service meal like the one described above and 1 table-service meal per night of your stay. The table-service meal is a sit-down meal at a full service restaurant where you are seated and a server takes your order and brings your food to you so you can relax with your family. On the Disney Dining Plan, these table-service meals include an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and drink. If you pay for this meal yourself, this can cost anywhere from $30-$60 per person, costing $120-$240 for one meal for family of four. This latest Magic Your Way vacation package offer with a Free Disney dining plan can save you a lot of money when the cheapest meals at Disney cost a minimum $40 for your family, but you get them for free.

Let’s take John and Ann for example. They’re staying at Pop Century, one of Disney’s Value resorts, with their two children for 4 nights/5 days in October. Because they booked the Magic Your Way vacation package with FREE Disney dining, each person get 2 free quick-service meals and 2 snacks for each night, meaning a total of 8 free meals and 8 free snacks per person. Quick-service meals at Disney usually cost about $10 per person and snacks cost about $4. For one person, this would cost about $28 per day (2 quick-service meals and 2 snacks). For John and Ann’s family of 4, the Free Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan saves them $112 per night, for a total savings of at least $448 for a 4 night stay!

Now let’s look at Carlos and Maria’s family. They’re staying at Coronado Springs, one of Disney’s Moderate resorts, with their two children. Like John and Ann, they’re staying for 4 nights/5days in October. However, because they booked the Magic Your Way vacation package with FREE Disney dining at a Disney Moderate resort, each person gets 1 quick-service meal, 1 table-service meal, and 1 snack for each night, meaning a total of 4 free quick-service meals, 4 free table-service meals, and 4 free snacks per person. Quick-service meals cost about $10 per person, table-service meals with everything included except tip cost about $40 per adult (children prices might be slightly lower) and snacks cost about $4. This is a total of about $216 per night for the family of four. For Carlos and Maria’s family of four, they get these meals for free, which gives them a total savings of about $864 for all 4 nights!

Room rate discounts cannot be combined with this offer, so the total savings amount may differ if you qualify for room discounts. However, the Free Disney dining plan offer saves most families hundreds of dollars on their Disney vacation.

This limited time offer is only available by phone by calling one of our Disney Specialists toll-free at 1-866-882-4720. Don’t miss out on this limited time offer, Save a Bundle and Book Now for Disney Vacation Savings.

Not only are there numerous vendors and samples to take in, but the festival also features live concerts each day, providing fun, live entertainment for guests. For true foodies, or anyone who wants a chance to learn from the experts, there are also a number of cooking and wine seminars to learn from the experts. You can also choose to sign up for one of the private tasting sessions the Food and Wine Festival offers.

Disney does an amazing job hosting this event and it considered by many to be the best Disney World event all year. In fact, it is so popular that many people plan their Disney vacation around the International Food & Wine Festival just to experience it. Some choose just to stroll from booth to booth, selecting a variety of foods and wines to sample from different countries, while others book extra events at the festival to explore a class, wine tasting or culinary event in greater depth.

This year, Disney has extended their very popular Magic Your Way Plus Free Dining vacation packages through the fall and winter, including most dates of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. If you book one of these Disney vacation packages, you can use the snack credits to sample many foods at the festival booths for free! Packages like these are very popular and may be limited in availability, so if you’ve been thinking of visiting this fall, this is the best time to book a fall visit.

The nights are still cool and the days are still beautiful in Orlando! Looking for a way to beat the late-Spring heat on your Orlando Vacation? If you’re planning on a Disney vacations, then here’s a good way: why not stay at a Disney World Resort hotel? Surely, the location doesn’t matter, you protest. Oh, but it does! There are many hotels within walking, boat, or monorail distance to the four main Disney World Orlando theme parks- Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom- and all Disney World Resort hotels provide transportation to all Disney areas.

You can’t get much closer to a Disney World theme park than staying at the Contemporary Resort or on the Boardwalk. Disney’s Contemporary Resort offers views of the Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle, and is a short walk away from the Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Boardwalk hotels are just a boat ride or walk away from Epcot, and there is also transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can also take the monorail to Magic Kingdom, or take a bus to Animal Kingdom.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort offers a backyard view into the Animal Kingdom’s exotic savanna, leaving some guests with the feeling that they’re almost sleeping inside the park itself (disclaimer: nobody can actually sleep inside the park, so don’t try it or you’ll get in big trouble. :p )!

The theory I present to you in simple: less travel time, less time in the sun, more time inside the Disney World park attractions. See? Simple.
