At The Orlando Vacation Store, our guests have the option of renting a vehicle from Alamo, part of the largest car rental company in the U.S. Offered right after the ticket options, guests who choose to rent a car can choose from economy, compact, midsize, full size, luxury, convertible, midsize SUV, standard SUV, premium, and 7 passenger minivan. Although many of the hotels we offer have complimentary transportation to SeaWorld, Universal, Disney, and evenwater park areas, some hotels only have shuttle service to one theme park, and a lot of hotels don’t offer any shuttle service. Every one of the official Disney hotels offer transportation to all Disney areas, including the four theme parks, Downtown Disney, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon water parks, and all other Disney hotels. However, there are few shuttle services to other Orlando areas; guests who want to explore the city of Orlando should rent a car.

There is more to Orlando than just the theme parks- there are several large shopping malls, such as the Florida Mall and the Millenia Mall. There are also many outlets for great deals on name brands, such as the Prime Outlets and Premium Outlets. We have many restaurants to choose from that fit any budget, occasion, and palate. For the city adventurer, there are many attractions scattered around the area as well- a sky diving simulation, hot air balloon rides, and dinner shows, just to name a few.

With The Orlando Vacation Store and Alamo car rentals, you can explore everything Orlando has to offer- after the theme parks, that is!

When looking for The Orlando Vacation Store reviews, a few people have informed us that whenever they search for The Orlando Vacation Store reviews, they find some bad reviews- for other web sites. There are many companies that offer ‘Orlando vacations,’ one is called the Vacation Store , another orlando vacations, we are not them! Please disregard any vacation store reviews you may find- try putting quotation marks around the Orlando Vacation Store to get some real reviews. Many people think we’re just too good to be true- we get tons of emails asking us if we’re one elaborate scam! But we are able to offer amazing (and, apparently, truly unbelievable) prices because we work directly with hotels and theme parks to bring you great deals, dependable service, and piece of mind. That is why we get many repeat customers- because here at The Orlando Vacation Store, we treat customers with the same respect that we want to receive on our own vacations! Our reservation specialists know their stuff, and work with you to find the perfect theme parks and other things to do that your entire group will love, as well as what kind of tickets to choose, what hotels fit your needs and budget, and much more. And we personally deliver the tickets to the hotel so that they’re waiting for you at check-in- so there’s no need to worry about delays in the mail or where to pick them up! And just wait- we have plenty of new, innovative ideas coming up for 2011. So soon there should be plenty of great Orlando Vacation Store reviews on the web… why not help us out by leaving some?

Even as a little girl, just starting first grade, my parents would take me to Disney World. Our vacations involved a lot of trips to the various theme parks, especially as the weather turned cooler. We were at a bit of an advantage- we lived less than half an hour away from Disney World, so we were always able to go during the off-season. I remember running around all day, riding rides and seeing my favorite princesses. For my birthdays we would go to the Crystal Palace at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and I’d always get hugs from Winnie the Pooh and his friends! And without fail, I would always fall asleep on the way home, having played until I dropped.

Every day, families around the world are making Disney World a regular destination, choosing an Orlando vacation over staying at home all summer. And since our company’s launch, Disney vacations are more attainable than ever! One of the first of our kind in the Orlando area, we offer competitive prices on hotel and ticket packages, helping families all over the world make their Disney dreams come true.

Come and visit Disney World for yourself! Experience the four theme parks and other attractions, or visit the Universal Escape Orlando theme parks. How about catching a show at Sea World… or with dinner, at one of the many Orlando dinner shows? See Mickey Mouse with a Santa Clause hat and count down to the New Year at Universal’s CityWalk. With so much to see and do, what are you waiting for?

Why should you come to Orlando for your Florida vacation? Orlando lets you experience the ultimate in fun AND relaxation. During the warmer months, you can kick back and relax on any water park lazy river, or ride the waves at Sea World’s Aquatica or Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water parks. Winter holidays mean brightly-lit streets, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has millions of Christmas lights and Epcot features Disney’s Candlelight Processional with celebrity narration, lights, and chorus.

And Orlando has many good restaurants, with prices for any budget- from the informal but healthy buffets to the family-style Italian and Asian restaurants, up to the fancy Brazilian steakhouses.

Fancy a show with your meal? Orlando has a large variety of dinner shows to choose from; anything from medieval stories, pirates, and murder mysteries, featuring comedy, action, adventure, music, pyrotechnics- and, most important of all, good food!

If it’s a beach you want, Cocoa Beach is the closest at just 45 minutes away, with Clearwater several hours away. Florida is also less than an hour away from the Kennedy Space Center, as well as Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

There’s always somewhere to go in Orlando, be it the movies and clubs at Universal’s CityWalk or the many, many clubs and late-night restaurants in Orlando’s downtown. For the kids, Disney’s own Downtown area- Downtown Disney- has plenty of kid’s areas, such as Legoland, a carousel, Disney Quest, and more.

As you can see, you can have both relaxation and fun here in Orlando, Florida- come and find out for yourself!

Summer in Orlando can get hot; and what’s better than spending a hot summer day at one of Orlando’s top water parks? But with parents of younger kids who can’t swim, it can be a daunting challenge. Have no fear! Sea World’s Aquatica water park will soon be offering swimming lessons- both beginner level one and the more advanced level two- with beginner’s lessons starting June 14th and level two lessons starting June 28th. The classes are American Red Cross certified and taught by Aquatica’s water safety instructors. The classes have a minimum age requirement of 6 months.

This means that young kids can learn to swim while the family is riding the rides, sliding down all of the slides, and swimming in the twin wave pools. After all, Aquatica uses state of the art equipment to make sure there is something for everybody. There are real animals- including colorful fish and Commerson’s dolphins, which have markings similar to those of killer whales- and beautiful flowers and scenery. The water park is designed with a ‘South Seas’ vibe.

For the parents of a child enrolled in swimming lessons, there is a special Aquatica pass available for about $50. It must be scanned by 9 am and can only be used on days when the swimming lessons are taking place.

The swimming lessons are expensive- about $200. (Annual passholders can save $100.) But they are from a reliable water park that the whole family will be able to enjoy!

But you’d better hurry- enrollment ends 48 hours before the first class!

Yet another bus accident this week is causing Orlando residents to raise their hands in exasperation. On April 3rd, a Disney driver was charged with reckless driving after he struck the back of a car at a red light- and that car then hit the back of a Disney van! The bus had 19 passengers; there were no injuries. This was the third Disney vehicle-related accident in the past two weeks on Disney World property. The bus driver, 80-year-old Frederick Cassens, paid a fine. He has had only one infraction, and that was back in 2004. However, according to The Disney Blog- a popular Disney blog run by fans- there had been at least one complaint made against the driver by guests in the past.

However, many regard the recent happenings as a train of bad luck- and in one case an unfortunate but accidental tragedy. About three hundred Disney buses operate on the property each day, and spokeswoman Andrea Finger insists that the transportation system is safe and reliable.

Bus drivers must pass a physical at least once every two years, and they must have a commercial drivers license. There is no upper age limit.

Now, I have lived close to Disney World for most of my life. I have gone to the parks ever since I was just a child. And I would like to state that I have personally never seen an accident involving a Disney vehicle. So for those of you following the news of the crashes, please remember that these aren’t common!

A Disney bus accident killed a 9 year old boy in front of the Fort Wilderness Resort last Thursday afternoon, at about 1:45pm. The boy and another young child were riding their bikes on a road located inside Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort when he was hit by the bus. He died at the scene. No one in the bus- 28 passengers- was injured. The boy reportedly went off the sidewalk and into the side of the bus, then was run over and killed. Authorities say that they do not think the driver, who has over 30 years’ experience in Disney World’s transportation department, was at fault or even saw the boy. His friend, an 11-year-old girl, was uninjured but severely distraught.

Although Disney is known to be a safe area for pedestrians, please teach children not to veer off the sidewalks or pedestrian walkways; vehicles can travel rather quickly and buses are often too high up for younger children to be spotted. Obey all laws and use common sense- look both ways before crossing, take children by the hand, and don’t cross streets unless the pedestrian light is on or you are at a pedestrian crossing.

This was the second fatal transportation-related accident in the last year at Disney World; the first was the tragic death of a 21-year-old monorail pilot last July, when his monorail and another crashed into each other at the Transportation and Ticket Center. It was caused by a miscommunication; he was told to back up into the Center but it appears no one told him that another train was already in the station.
