Florida Vacation – Rip, Ride, Rockit at Universal Orlando

A new thrill ride opened up just a few short months ago at Universal Orlando- the Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit, a groundbreaking coaster that lets you pick your own soundtrack before you’re sent careening down the 3800 feet of track, including Orlando’s tallest lift hill. The entire thing is recorded by cameras.

A Notice of Commencement was filed with Orange County in January of last year, and the attraction and several key features were announced by Universal officials two months later. Construction began in May of last year, with the first pieces of track being placed in December. After more than fifteen months of construction, the ride was finally officially opened in August of this year.

Music choices include classic rock and heavy metal, country music, rap and hip-hop, club and electronica, and pop and disco.

Of course, you may have some trouble hearing the music above the screaming.
