Universal Orlando’s City Walk-Hollywood Drive-In Golf is a Real Scream
Hollywood Drive-in Golf is now open! A Universal Studios Vacation gives you the full classic movie celebration! You can golf seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. The area features two courses.
They are classic drive-in theater/ science fiction and horror movie themed, featuring amazing scenery, lighting and sound effects. It is the first thing you see as you enter CityWalk Orlando.
It is a great way to start off your movie-themed day, or end your fun filled night. It is impossible to miss, as it is glowing with special lighting effects and tall scenic structures, such as a giant alien and a haunted house!
The two courses are The Haunting of Ghostly Greens and Invasion of Planet Putt. Ghostly Greens is the scarier of the two courses, but it is still fun and family friendly. As part of the course, you will go through creepy locations such as a graveyard and a pet cemetery.
Planet Putt is alien invasion-themed. It features more stairs and multilevel challenges. There are sound and lighting effects throughout. For those of you who have frequented the Universal Orlando Theme Parks, you know the quality of the line cues and rides. This miniature golf course is no different.
Ticketing and Prices:
- One of the courses is $13.99 ($11.99 for ages 3-9).
- Both for $24.99 ($20.99 ages 3-9).
- There is a 10 percent discount for Florida Residents or Universal Pass holders
- Parking charges for the CityWalk garage may also apply.
Insider tips: You don’t have to play both courses at once. You can save the receipt for the one you did not play and you can come back later or even another day. Parking for CityWalk can be expensive, so remember to carpool. Since you are paying the same price for parking no matter how long you stay, make a night of it and have dinner and/or see a movie to get the most of what CityWalk has to offer! The mini golf course is open until 2 am so it is a great option for parents with teenagers who want to get out later after the younger kids have gone to bed!
