Universal Orlando recently raised the price of its 2-park 7-day ticket from $99 to $170 (adult price). Reports state that Universal is following a popular ticketing structure in which more days cost less money. This is designed to drive visitors to spend more time at Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Citywalk- which does not charge admission and is located as a walkway between both parks, and contains clubs, live shows, restaurants, and stores.
The price change was made just in time for Universal’s new addition of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This is a new land at the Islands of Adventure theme park that features movie scenes and new attractions, as well as shops and restaurants straight out of the books and movies.
The 2-park 7-day tickets expire 14 days from use. What this means is that guests can use the tickets for 7 days in a 14-day time period. This leaves plenty of time to visit other Orlando theme parks such as Disney World or hit the water parks and other Orlando tourist attractions during their visit- such as dinner shows, hot air balloon rides, helicopter rides, shopping malls, and a few not-so-well-known attractions.
We offer many packages with hotels that are located as close as across the street from Universal, making it easier to spend 7 full days at the parks without spending much of that time just trying to get there and back. And after spending a full day at the Islands of Adventure, walking through the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it pays to be staying nearby.
