Universal Studios – Minion Mayhem Ride
I don’t know about you all, but since I saw Despicable Me for the first time, (and subsequent 10 times) I have had Minion Fever! Those little guys still amuse me with their antics. For those of you who love them as much as I do, I have good news!
The Despicable Me ride at Universal Studios Orlando is OPEN! That’s right, I said, “RIDE”. As if the movie wasn’t amazing enough! Featuring an amazing line queue (the entertainment portion before a group of people gets to the ride). It really makes you feel like you have stepped into the world of animation and right into Gru’s home, complete with all the super-villain fixings. The ride is in “Soft openings” which means it is in a phase much like a dress rehearsal, it is open to guests but the team may still be working out small problems here and there. It may also be open only during specific times each day, so when you see that it’s open, take advantage of the opportunity! So far, it has been very well received by the public and is sure to be one of the most popular rides this summer!
If the line queue and ride aren’t enough for you, then don’t fret! Leaving the ride, right before entering the gift shop, you will encounter a dance floor with minions partying to their favorite songs! Kids young and old are invited to dance and sing along.
Want even more minions? How about mixing in some other fun favorites? The DAILY Superstar parade is happening now at Universal Studios Orlando! It features kid favorites such as Dora and Diego, Edith, Margot and Agnes, Gru and his minions, and Spongebob Squarepants. At various points throughout the park, the characters can be seen and interacted with before the parade begins. The parade itself is a real party, complete with dance music and all the characters boogying down, inviting the audience to get involved! Huge new floats were designed to show off the best new Superstars that Universal has to offer in what looks to be a fun new approach to summer meet and greets. Parades are a great time to catch your breath and be entertained. Don’t forget to take great photos of yourself and your family with your favorite universal cartoon characters!
