Calling all Harry Potter fans- Universal Orlando’s newest addition, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, is set to open inside the Islands of Adventure theme park in just a few months, although the date has not yet been released. The new world features amazingly detailed construction of the Hogwarts castle, as well as Hogsmeade, several book-famous shops and restaurants, and much more.
The Hogwarts castle will house a Floo-based ride through Harry Potter movie scenes, and the popular Dueling Dragons and children’s Flying Unicorn rollercoasters are reportedly being converted to fit the Harry Potter theme- they will now be Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff, respectively. Although no new attraction details for Universal’s Harry Potter attractions have been released since September 15th, guests at Islands of Adventure can view construction of the mysterious, magical new land that’s slowly rising beyond the fences. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is sure to attract new fans into the world of the books and movies of Harry Potter, as well as transport current fans back into their favorite scenes and pages.
However, the new world is shrouded in secrecy, with details scarce and hard to find- we’ll keep updating as new information, such as an opening date, is released.
