Disney's All Star Movie Resort

Disney's All Star Movie Resort is true to its name, decorated inside and out with beloved Disney movies. The top favorite area is its Toy Story section, which includes a 35 foot tall Buzz Lightyear, a 35 foot tall Woody with his name is alphabet blocks beside him, Green Army Men lining the rooftops, and more movie inspired decorations!

There is also a Disney’s 101 Dalmatians area, with a 35 foot tall Perdita, a 40 foot tall Pongo, and more special touches- such as the outside stairs built inside a huge fire hydrant, the puppies decorating the railings, and bones and paw prints in the cement below. There’s also a TV screen where the guests can be the stars while one of the pups looks on.

How about a giant Sorcerer’s hat, complete with brooms, buckets, nutcracker soldiers, ballerinas, and more? Sound familiar? This is the Fantasia section, a huge hit with guests. There’s also a Mighty Ducks section, with huge hockey sticks, puck nets, and the iconic duck-billed masks. Like the Dalmatians’ fire hydrant, the Mighty Ducks area has stairs enclosed in 31 foot tall goalie masks.

Finally, there is also a Herbie the Love Bug section available- it’s the quietest area in the hotel, far from most of the active areas.

The All Star Movie Resort rooms all feature a framed poster and border of the section’s movie theme. Each room has either two double beds or one king sized bed, which are handicap accessible. Each room also has a nightstand, telephone, small table with two chairs, clock radio, open closet with storage space and a safe, and a wall mirror. The sinks are separate from the bathrooms, which consist of a bathtub with shower and a toilet. Staying true to the movie theme, the light fixtures are shaped as popcorn boxes and stars. All rooms have high speed internet available and central air conditioning. The resort offers 96 handicap-accessible rooms, and all rooms sleep 4 plus a child under 3 in a crib. The resort also offers bed boards, bed rails, and cribs, which can be requested through Housekeeping.

The resort offers the World Premiere Food Court, which has burgers, pizza, chicken, pasta, ribs, and much more, and is open from 6 am to 11 pm every day. The Silver Screen Spirits, which is the poolside bar, serves a continental breakfast in the morning, as well as a variety of sandwiches, snacks, and drinks for the rest of the day.

There are several themed pools in Disney’s All Star Movie Resort. The main pool, located between the Cinema Hall arcade, which is open from 7 am to 1 am, and the Fantasia area, is appropriately named Fantasia. Adjacent is a kiddie pool. Both pools are heated, open from 8 am to midnight with lifeguards from 10 am to 10 pm, and have changing rooms and restrooms. Please note that you must bring the towels provided in your rooms- call housekeeping for more towels if needed.

The resort has its own transportation to the theme parks and other Disney areas- guests are given instructions and a transportation map upon check-in to the resort.
