Disney's All Star Music Resort

For those music fans, Disney’s All Star Music Resort is perfect for your Orlando vacation! The resort is split into five areas with three stories and 384 rooms, all decorated with each individual music theme. The resort also offers Family Suites, which can accommodate up to 6 people and include two full bathrooms and a kitchenette.

The Country Fair décor includes a 3 story tall pair of cowboy boots, truck cutouts along the rooftops, and various musical instruments- harmonicas, fiddles, bolo ties, and banjos.

The Broadway area is decorated with size 125 top hats, music notes, and a Beauty and the Beast marquee.

The Jazz Inn buildings have musical staffs wrapped in sunglasses, trombone and saxophone rooftop silhouettes, and an extra large set of drums.

The Calypso section has an islands theme, with exotic birds, banana leaves, and giant maracas.

The Rock Inn has records lining the upper story railings, and there are giant speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and a huge jukebox. There have also been sightings of a 1957 Chevy Bel Air couple parked in that area.

Even the check-in building has a musical theme- the main building is called Melody Hall and it also contains guest services, a gift shop, an arcade, the food court, and a 55,000 pound gold star.

All of the standard rooms have two double beds, or a king bed in the handicap-accessible rooms, though these are more limited in quantity. All rooms have central air conditioning, a small table with two chairs, a telephone, a wall mirror, a closet area with storage and a safe, and a bathroom with a tub/shower and toilet that is separate from the sink.

The family suites have two rooms- a master bedroom with a queen bed, a desk, and a TV, and the main sitting room that contains a TV, a sofa that unfolds into a double bed, and a chair with an ottoman that unfold into two single beds. Bed rails and cribs are available through housekeeping. The kitchenette has a sink, under counter refrigerator, and a microwave and coffeemaker.

The All Star Music Resort offers a food court called the Intermission Food Court, which seats 550. The walls are painted with images of Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, and others, and the food court has pizza, burgers, ribs, chicken, pasta, and much more. It is generally open from 6 am until 11 pm.

The main swimming pool is the Calypso Pool, which is actually shaped like a guitar and has a statue of the Three Caballeros shooting water into the air. There is another, quieter pool, called the Piano pool- it is shaped like a piano, with the deck as the keyboard. The pools have showers and changing rooms. Note: the pools do not offer towels so you must bring them from your room- guests can call housekeeping for extra towels.

Disney’s All Star Music Resort also features a jogging path, the Note’able Games arcade in Melody Hall, and a children’s playground.

The resort also has its own transportation system that shuttles guests to the theme parks and other Disney areas, though sometimes the buses will also run to the other two All Star Resorts.
