Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort spans 200 acres and is divided into six ‘villages,’ all named after Caribbean islands. The villages surround a 42 acre lake, which is home to Parrot Cay island with playgrounds, nature trails, and a tropical aviary. It also has a kids' water play area, with water slides and squirt hoses. It’s connected to the mainland through bridges. The area surrounding the lake has sandy white beaches and is aptly named Barefoot Bay.

Each village is brightly colored and consists of 2-story buildings, totaling 64 rooms in each section. Barbados has pink buildings with teal roofs, while Martinique has sea blue buildings with red roofs and pink trim. Trinidad North and South are bronze with green roofs, while Jamaica has yellow buildings with blue roofs. Finally, Aruba has pink and purple buildings with teal roofs. Each village has a pool, while Trinidad has two; there is also a themed pool with a water slide and waterfalls.

Each room has either two double beds or a king sized bed, and are split up between standard rooms and pirate-themed rooms. Each room also has internet access (for a fee), an in-room wall safe, two sinks in the vanity area, a table with two chairs, and central air conditioning. Guests can also request handicap accessible rooms and a crib through Housekeeping.

Custom House is a large, beautiful building where guests can check in. This building is modeled after government buildings in the Caribbean, complete with canopies and verandas. The Old Port Royale is where the shopping, lounge, concierge, and Caribbean town-themed food court are located. There is also a full-service restaurant. The Marina rents out everything from pontoon boats and sailboats to canoes, so there is plenty to do on the grounds. The pool complex is designed after an old Spanish fortress, and has a water slide, antique cannons, and towers.

The resort is so big that there is a bus system just for traveling inside the resort itself- there is also a transportation system that will take guests to the theme parks and other Disney areas.
