Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is known for
being Walt Disney World’s first family and
convention center resort. The lobby’s
centerpiece is a beautiful Spanish-style
fountain called La Fuente de las Palomas, or the
Fountain of the Doves, and it sets the theme for
the resort’s Colonial Mexico and American
Southwest style décor and architecture. There
are 1967 guest rooms and suites, which are
spread out among three ‘villages’ surrounding a
15 acre lake. The resort’s beautiful
architecture features rustic stucco buildings,

Mexican-style bungalows.

The first of the three villages is called the
Casitas, which seem straight out of Monterey or
Santa Fe. The Ranchos have a more rustic feel,
with a small stream, called an arroyo. These
rooms have two- and three-story villas. The
Cabanas are 2-story Mexican style adobe
bungalows, most of which have a water view. The
convention center can be divided into 45 rooms
and is
95,000 square feet. The Coronado Ballroom

square feet, with 23-foot high
ceilings. It can seat 5000 for dinner or for
