Disney’s Pop Century Resort takes guests back in
time in its 5 “Classic Years: themed areas- the
1950’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. (The
“Legendary Years,” from the 1900’s to the
1940’s, are in the works.) The décor varies from
giant Rubik’s Cubes, cell phones, bowling pins,
and more, as well as slogans such as “Boogie
Down” and “Have a Nice Day” scattered along the
rooftops. The resort is designed to send its
guests on a trip back through American culture.
Each room has either 2 double beds or a king
sized bed, as well as a nightstand, telephone, a
small table with two chairs, an armoire, a
television, a wall mirror, a clock radio, and a
closet area with storage and a safe. There is a
sink separate from the tub/shower and toilet and
all rooms have central air conditioning. There
is also a computer data port for internet. If
needed, housekeeping can provide bed rails and
cribs.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort offers the Everything
Pop Shopping and Food Court, which combines the
classic food court and a small shopping center.
It also has a Classic Concoctions Lounge, Petals
Pool Bar, and pizza delivery is available.

Fancy a swim? Disney’s Pop Century Resort has
three pools- a flower-shaped Hippy Dippy Pool, a
monitor-shaped Computer Pool, and a bowling-pin
shaped Bowling Pool. There is also the Goofy Kiddie Spray Area, which is and interactive
fountain,as well as a playground and
recreational paths for Surrey bike-riding around
the Hourglass Lake.
There is also a 1.38-mile
walking or jogging trail.
 
The resort also
offers its own transportation
system to take guests to theme parks and other
Disney areas, and guests are given a map and
transportation guide upon check-in. |
