Universal Studios Florida®

Universal Studios Hollywood was first a film and television studio. Starting with backlot tours, rides were soon added, turning it into a dual studio-theme park. Contrariwise, Universal Studios Florida was designed from the very beginning to be a theme park. This was to be Universal’s first attempt to create an amusement park from scratch. It would feature rides made from many of the studio’s successful studio tours, such as their JAWS exhibit. However, Universal also uses attractions based on other studios’ characters- such as Ghostbusters, Men in Black, and Jimmy Neutron.
