Halloween Special Edition, 2011

 
 

Welcome to our Spooktacular Halloween edition of our weekly newsletter! This special edition is full of details about the Halloween events going on in Orlando through October. There’s events for every range of spooks, from kid-friendly not-so-scary events to truly terrifying nights for the adults.
 


Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios

This year, Lady Luck dares you to try your luck to see if you survive 8 brand new haunted houses and 6 scare zones to walk through.

Halloween Horror Nights will run on select nights from September 23 – November 1, 2011, mostly Thursday through Sunday with some Wednesday night events. Hours each night start at 7 pm and go until 12, 1 or 2 am depending on the night. Tickets are available for single night admission or there are event multi-night passes that give you access to multiple fright nights for you to experience the scares again and again. Universal Studios Florida Halloween Horror nights is consistently named one of the best, if not the best, Halloween event in the nation and should not be missed, if you dare to visit.

This is  a separate ticketed event.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World

Trick-or-treating in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World? Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is trick-or-treating, Halloween parades, special fireworks and so much more! This event is great, not-so-scary fun for the entire family. Everyone loves it, from little kids to parents, grandparents to even the stubborn teenagers; it’s a great way to get the family into the Halloween spirit.

This event runs select nights through November 1, 2011 after Magic Kingdom closes, from 7 pm to midnight. Many people dress up for the event in costume, and Disney even encourages safe, family-friendly costumes.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a fun event with a lot to do. Not only can you trick-or-treat for free candy around Magic Kingdom, but there is a special party parade and Halloween fireworks. At this party, you also have opportunities to meet characters rarely seen in the parks, including many Disney villains.

 

This is a separately ticketed event, admission is not included with regular theme park admission ticket and prices range from $54-$68 depending on which party date you attend.

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular


SeaWorld does their own kid-friendly Halloween party every weekend during the month of October: 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30. This daytime event goes from noon to 8pm so kids can be awake for all of the Halloween fun. Kids are invited to wear Halloween costumes for this festive Halloween Spooktacular event.

This event has all kinds of Halloween fun for kids including Trick-or-Treat Sweets, a live Sesame Street Halloween show, a party zone with dancing and activities as well as fun-loving sea creatures to party with. This event is designed for kids to have some daylight Halloween fun with their favorite sea creatures like Shamu and his friends.

 

Unlike the other major theme park Halloween Events, Halloween Spooktacular is included on Sea World general admission ticket on the dates specified above.
